Job summary
Macquarie University Health invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join The Orthopaedic Institute (Ward 5) at North Ryde. You will deliver specialist orthopaedic surgical care within Australia's only university-owned academic hospital, supported by a multidisciplinary team and ongoing education.
The role offers a permanent full-time contract with career progression. You will work on a rotating roster across days and shifts, including weekends, with opportunities for professional development
Qualifications
- Surgical nursing experience essential; orthopaedic surgical nursing preferred.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- High flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
- Demonstrated autonomous practice and clinical judgement.
- Strong computer skills including EMR, Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in accordance with documented care or treatment plans based on patient needs and acuity.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per MQ University Health policy.
- Participate in quality improvement activities including policy review and development.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in care and service.
