Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Substantial post-registration experience in an orthopaedic or surgical nursing context.
• Demonstrated ability to work at a consultant or advanced practice level within a complex health environment.
• Strong skills in clinical assessment, care coordination, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks, clinical governance, and patient safety standards.
• Proven ability to mentor and support nursing staff in a busy public hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Delivering advanced clinical assessment and care planning for orthopaedic patients across acute and peri-operative settings.
• Acting as a clinical resource and point of expertise for nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provision of education to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and supporting best-practice orthopaedic care standards within NALHN.
• Facilitating timely discharge planning and coordination with allied health and surgical teams.
