Vision Australia is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to enhance the mobility of blind or low-vision clients. You will work in a transdisciplinary team, providing assessment, training, intervention and service coordination to empower clients in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Orientation & Mobility; COMS completion.
• Experience delivering O&M services to diverse age groups.
• Ability to assess mobility needs and tailor interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' ability to travel safely in their community.
• Advise on and prescribe mobility aids; support devices and strategies.
• Assist clients with Seeing Eye Dogs and other mobility options.
• Monitor use of low vision aids in mobility programs.
