Zusammenfassung

Vision Australia in Canberra is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join a transdisciplinary team. You will assess clients’ mobility, provide training, and coordinate services to help blind or low-vision individuals travel safely and independently.

You will work closely with clients over time, delivering interventions, advising on mobility aids, and supporting broader goals of inclusion and independence.

Qualifikationen

• Approved qualifications in Orientation & Mobility recognised by OMAA.
• Experience delivering O&M services in person or via other channels.
• Ability to plan and deliver client-focused mobility interventions.

Aufgaben

• Assess clients' travel safety and confidence in community areas.
• Advise on and prescribe mobility aids to meet individual needs.
• Assist clients with the use of mobility aids and Seeing Eye Dogs.
• Monitor and advise on low vision aids within mobility programs.
