Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a seasoned Organisational Development Advisor to join our Corporate Office in Subiaco, WA. You will translate enterprise programs into practical actions, facilitate coaching, and lead initiatives to lift leadership capability and sustain behavioural change across operations.

You’ll partner with site leaders to deliver culture surveys, talent management, and employee engagement programs, ensuring alignment with STARR Core Values and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in organisational development initiatives and programs to influence workforce engagement and culture.
  • Evidence of leading leadership development and culture change in operational environments.
  • Knowledge of OD frameworks and facilitation and coaching across senior leaders and frontline supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and support delivery of Organisational Development programs across enterprise, regional, site or functional levels.

Currently our People & Culture Department has a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Organisational Development (OD) Advisor to join our Corporate Office located in Subiaco.

The OD Advisor will support implementation of Culture & Capability initiatives that build leadership effectiveness, uplift capability and enable sustained behaviour change across Northern Star’s operations. The role translates enterprise programs into practical, locally embedded actions through facilitation, leader support, coaching and behaviour‑change enablement. The role will focus on execution, adoption and local ownership, ensuring delivery remains aligned with strategic priorities and our STARR Core Values.

  • Drive, assist and/or support the delivery of programs in the Organisational Development remit (these may be at enterprise, regional, site or functional levels).
  • Collaborate and engage across the business and key stakeholders to support a psychologically healthy and safe culture, engage and grow our people, using evidence-based programs.
  • Provide internal consultancy to support leaders and their teams.
  • Deliver site/functional programs across the employee lifecycle, including culture surveys, talent management, facilitation, training, succession planning, employee engagement programs and communications.
  • Undertake needs analysis for our business at both a site and organisational level in relation to Organisational Development and provide relevant, effective and practical solutions for our teams.
  • Understand, interpret and communicate data sets and reports to stakeholders and facilitate practical next steps and actions for implementation.
  • Contribute to the development and the delivery of employee engagement metrics, including pulse checks and surveys.
  • Support leader capability uplift, leveraging Mental Health, Leadership Learning and Development and Employee Engagement initiatives.
  • Deliver clear communication across all levels, using appropriate channels and mediums.
  • Travel to sites as required to support facilitation, leader engagement and implementation of activities.
To thrive in this role, you will need.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with extensive experience in organisational development, leadership development, human resources, learning and development or another relevant field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in supporting, executing and evaluating organisational development initiatives and programs to positively influence workforce engagement and culture.
  • Evidence of supporting cultural and behavioural change within operational environments.
  • A sound understanding of psychological and psychosocial health and safety principles.
  • Knowledge of OD frameworks, behaviour change methodologies, or leadership development practices, along with facilitation and coaching capability across senior leaders and frontline supervisors would be highly regarded.
Qualifications:
  • A Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint).
  • Power BI and HR data analysis skills would be advantageous.
