Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security, Canberra, seeks an experienced Organisational Change Manager to support a Defence program. You will lead the development and execution of change management strategy, ensuring stakeholders across ASD, Defence and industry understand, adopt and are ready for the changes ahead.

Working within an integrated delivery model, you will coordinate communications, training and engagement activities, monitor adoption, and ensure alignment with project milestones.

Qualifications

• Current NV1 security clearance.
• Experience developing and executing change management strategies aligned to project objectives.
• Experience leading stakeholder engagement across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience developing and delivering end-to-end communication plans.
• Experience assessing change readiness and managing change-related risks and barriers.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyse and manage the impacts of change on stakeholders, business processes and operational activities.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities to ensure transparency, awareness, understanding and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver end-to-end communication plans, ensuring stakeholders receive consistent, timely and targeted information.
• Assess change readiness and identify risks, issues and barriers to adoption, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Design and coordinate training, workshops, coaching and support mechanisms to equip stakeholders for future-state ways of working.
• Monitor stakeholder sentiment, adoption rates and change effectiveness, adjusting interventions where required.
• Establish governance and engagement mechanisms for a single, coordinated stakeholder engagement approach across all project workstreams.
• Support clear escalation pathways for stakeholder concerns, risks and change impacts.
• Integrate change management activities with project schedules, delivery milestones and business readiness activities.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Organisational Change Manager to support a program delivering facilities, ICT and workforce capability to strengthen Defence’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance analytical capacity. You’ll lead the development and execution of change management strategy, ensuring stakeholders across a complex, multi-workstream environment understand, adopt and are ready for the changes ahead.

You’ll work as part of an integrated delivery model, collaborating closely with project management, technical teams and business representatives to ensure change activities, communications and training are consistently aligned and reinforce the same project messaging across ASD, Defence, industry partners and end-user communities.

Key Responsibilities

Salary

$170,000 - $175,000 (Package incl. Super), pro rata for the duration of this engagement
