Class 1 Orthodontics in Rockingham is seeking an Oral Health Therapist to join our high-performing specialist team. You’ll transition from general dentistry or current orthodontic work into a focused orthodontics pathway with strong mentorship.

This multi-location role involves clinics in Rockingham, West Perth and Busselton, with structured training, exposure to fixed appliances and clear aligner workflows, and a patient-first culture that supports professional growth.

Qualifications

• Registered Oral Health Therapist with AHPRA in Australia.
• Structured, fast-paced clinical environment experience preferred.
• Willingness to specialise in orthodontics and use imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Take diagnostic records, scans, impressions and imaging.
• Assist with fixed appliances, debanding and adjustments.
• Support clear aligner workflows and monitor progression.
• Assist Phase 1, retention and emergency appointments as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment compliance.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and infection control standards.

We’re looking for an Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to join our team at Class 1 Orthodontics. Whether you’re already working in orthodontics or coming from general dental and ready to specialise, this role offers a clear, supported pathway into a high-performing specialist setting.

You’ll work closely with our Orthodontist as a key clinical team member, contributing to high-quality treatment outcomes and a consistently high-quality patient experience.

This is a multi-location role based primarily in Rockingham, with travel to our West Perth and Busselton clinics as needed.

What you’ll be doing

• You’ll play an active role across the orthodontic patient journey, including:
• Taking diagnostic records, scans, impressions, and imaging.
• Assisting with issuing fixed appliances, adjustment appointments and debanding procedures.
• Supporting clear aligner treatment workflows, including bonding/removal of attachments, monitoring patient progression and IPR.
• Supporting the Orthodontist with Phase 1 treatment, retention, and emergency appointments, as well as Phase , 2 debands and bracket removal.
• Providing clear, supportive patient education on oral hygiene and treatment compliance.
• Monitoring treatment progress and escalating clinical concerns when needed.
• Maintaining accurate, compliant clinical records.
• Upholding strict infection control and safety standards.
• Supporting smooth, efficient daily clinical flow in a fast-paced specialist environment

You’ll also work closely with the Orthodontist and wider team to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care across every stage of treatment.

• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist
• Confidence working in a structured, fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication skills with a genuine patient-first approach
• High attention to detail and strong clinical documentation habits
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required
• Motivation to grow and develop specialist orthodontic skills
• Previous experience in orthodontics and with digital imaging or radiography systems is a plus.
