Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Technical Lead and Architect to join its Oracle Practice, guiding complex technical engagements across infrastructure, databases and cloud migration with a strong emphasis on OCI. You will mentor teams, support pre-sales, and foster customer relationships while shaping solutions for large-scale deployments.

You will participate in an on-call roster and may work in the evenings or weekends to meet customer requirements and planned activities, with a focus on delivering

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of industry experience with at least two years in pre-sales or consulting.
• Strong architecture and design expertise across Oracle databases, Engineered Systems, infrastructure and OCI.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases and middleware to OCI (WebLogic, SOA, Fusion Middleware).
• Leadership in mainframe-to-OCI migrations and complex engagements.
• Experience with Oracle applications, SSO and identity management solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Lead and Architect to join DXC’s Oracle Practice, leading complex technical engagements across infrastructure, databases and cloud migration, with a strong focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

As a trusted technical advisor, you will guide architecture and delivery, provide project governance and build strong customer relationships. You will also mentor technical teams and partner with Project Managers, Account Leadership and Sales teams to shape solutions and support pre‑sales activities.

Participation in an on‑call roster is required. The role may also require evening or weekend work to support customer requirements and planned technical activities.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead technical architecture, solution design and delivery for complex infrastructure, database and cloud engagements.
• Oversee technical quality, governance and deliverables across projects and work packages.
• Partner with Project Managers on scope, estimates, schedules and delivery planning.
• Coach and mentor technical team members, including coordinating with vendors and third parties.
• Build trusted customer relationships and lead workshops, both on‑site and remotely.
• Drive operational efficiency and continual improvement across managed services.
• Support pre‑sales through solution development, proposals, tender responses and Statement of Work estimates.

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years of industry experience, including at least two years in pre‑sales or consulting.
• Strong architecture and design expertise across Oracle databases, Engineered Systems, infrastructure and cloud platforms, particularly OCI.
• Demonstrated experience migrating Oracle databases and middleware, including WebLogic, SOA and Fusion Middleware, from on‑premises environments to OCI.
• Proven experience leading mainframe-to‑OCI migrations, including application and data migration, re‑platforming and modernisation.
• Experience supporting complex Oracle database and application integrations.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex engagements within customer constraints.
• Strong customer‑facing communication, presentation, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Experience producing technical design documents and translating business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Other Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance (ODA), AWS, Azure, Exadata Cloud at Customer or PaaS environments.
• Knowledge of Oracle applications and integrated Single Sign‑on and Identity Management solutions.
• Experience managing projects and large‑scale business initiatives.
