Job summary

NTT Data is hiring an Oracle Database Administrator in Sydney CBD for a 6-month contract with high extension potential. The role demands administration of Oracle environments, RAC/Data Guard, RMAN, and performance tuning, with patching, upgrades, backups and 24/7 production support.

Qualifications

• Strong Oracle DBA experience.
• Hands-on with RAC, Data Guard and RMAN.
• Experience with backup, patching and upgrades.
• Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience in government environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimisation activities.
• Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN configurations and support.
• Execute backup, recovery, patching, and database upgrade activities.
• Monitor database health and proactively troubleshoot issues.
• Support production deployments, changes, and incident resolution.
• Work closely with infrastructure and application teams in a governed enterprise environment.
