Qualifications

• Strong practical experience with Oracle DB, especially 19C and above.
• Proficient in SQL tuning and database performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance Telco's CRM Oracle DB, ensuring performance and security.
• Optimize database performance, including tuning SQL queries and indexes.
• Upgrade Oracle DB to 19C+
• Manage Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump)
• Proactively manage security standards and controls
• Optimize performance by tuning SQL queries, indexes, memory, storage and network
• Perform data migration jobs and scripts as required
• Support and collaborate with application developers
• Contribute to disaster recovery plans and backup strategies
• Assist in sizing hardware and cost optimization, in coordination with the infrastructure team

Responsibilities:

• Overall, maintain, manage and enhance Telco's CRM Oracle DB
• Experience in handling Billing & CRM Database/s
• Experience with Oracle DB upgrades
• Strong practical experience of Oracle 19C and above versions
• Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump)
• Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls
• Strong understanding of PM2, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL Plan Management, and Oracle Performance Analyzer
• Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB. Optimize database performance, such as by tuning SQL queries, indexes, memory, storage, and network
• Execution of data migration jobs and scripts as required
• Assist the infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the DB and contribute in cost optimization
• Support and collaborate with application developers
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans
• Create a reliable backup strategy. Ensure database backups are appropriately executed and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality
• Determine and document DB policies, procedures and standards
• Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy and integrity. Identification of bottlenecks and deadlock issues
• Actively seek to optimise and simplify our architecture
• Ensure SLA's & operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur
