Job summary

Northern Territory PHN (operating entity: Health Network Northern Territory Ltd) is seeking a fully qualified, AHPRA-registered Optometrist to join our independent, full-scope optometry practice in Alice Springs (Mparntwe). This is an opportunity to use your clinical skills to their full potential while providing high-quality primary eye care to some of Australias most remote communities.

With no retail KPIs, long appointment times and a strong focus on clinical excellence, our priority is

Qualifications

• AHPRA-registered Optometrist with full scope practice.
• Interest in ocular therapeutics and primary eye care.
• Ability to manage contact lenses, dry eye and myopia control.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages.
• Manage acute and chronic ocular pathology with therapeutics.
• Conduct post-refractive care and foreign body removal as needed.
• Assist across the practice including frame selection and outreach (optional).
• Participate in remote community outreach programs (optional).
• Develop a specialty clinical interest if desired.
