Job summary

EssilorLuxottica operates its QLD lab in Windsor, Brisbane, seeking a reliable, detail-focused production team member to manufacture prescription lenses with trained machinery in a clean, structured environment.

You will follow defined processes, learn specialized trade skills, and contribute to on-time delivery while maintaining quality and traceability across all tasks.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-focused team member to join our Optical Production team based in Windsor, Brisbane. If you enjoy structured processes, take pride in accuracy and work with your hands well, this role will suit you. Experience in optics is not required, howevever is highly regarded.

As part of our Production team, you will be trained to manufacture prescription lenses using specialised equipment and clearly defined processes. Your work directly impacts product quality, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery. This is a practical, hands-on role in a clean, structured manufacturing environment where consistency, care, and teamwork matter.

Your Responsibilities

• Following standard operating procedures to produce prescription lenses accurately and safely
• Working with machinery and tools after structured training and supervision
• Completing repetitive tasks with a high level of focus and attention to detail
• Checking work quality and identifying defects or inconsistencies early
• Recording production data and following traceability requirements
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production and service targets
• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
• Following safety, quality, and compliance requirements at all times

About You

You may have experience in manufacturing, warehousing, food production, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or similar environments. We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing things properly
• Comfort with repetitive tasks and structured processes
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs consistently
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Basic computer literacy and ability to record information accurately
• A team-first mindset and willingness to support others
