Optimax Optometrists is seeking an Optical Dispenser / Optical Assistant to join our premium independent practice in Melbourne’s southeast (Glen Waverley or Wantirna South). The role includes guiding customers through their eyewear journey, helping with fittings, and supporting our optometrists to ensure a superior patient experience.

Trailing with full training if needed, this role welcomes candidates with retail or sales background and a passion for service.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic Optical Assistant / Optical Dispenser to join our growing team.

• No optical experience? No problem – full training will be provided.




• Previous retail, sales or customer service experience is highly regarded




• Mandarin speaking is essential to support our customer base; Cantonese is a plus




• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service




• Strong communication and interpersonal skills




• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow




• Well-presented, reliable and proactive




• Flexible to work retail hours, including late nights and weekends
