Job summary

The Optical Superstore in Cairns is seeking a hands-on Optical Dispenser/Assistant for casual hours at Cairns DFO & Mt Sheridan. You’ll help customers pick frames and lenses, with full on‑the‑job training. Ideal candidates show excellent communication and a positive, team‑oriented attitude, and are available Thursdays evenings and Saturdays. Sundays and public holidays are not worked.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical industry preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

The Optical Superstore is an Australian owned and operated business with over 35 years in the Optical Industry.

Our experienced and friendly team in Cairns DFO & Mt Sheridan are looking for an Optical Dispenser/Optical Assistant to work casual hours, during the week. Saturdays and Thursday evenings are required.

While previous Optical experience would be preferred, it is not essential as full on the job training will be given to the successful applicant.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication, customer service skills.
