The role covers broad ophthalmology practice, outpatient clinics, and surgical procedures, with teaching and governance duties and collaboration with multiple specialties.

You will be eligible for AHPRA Specialist Registration and fellowship in ophthalmology; SIMG pathway considered. The position offers a supportive, modern facility and regional lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Ophthalmology recognised by the relevant medical board.
• Proven skills in comprehensive ophthalmic assessment and management.
• Competence in surgical procedures within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and management of a broad range of general ophthalmology presentations.
• Delivery of outpatient specialist clinics.
• Surgical and procedural ophthalmology within your scope of practice.
• Management of acute and chronic ophthalmic conditions.
• Collaboration with Emergency Medicine, General Medicine and other specialist services.
• Contribution to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
• Teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff where appropriate.
