Job summary

Barminco is seeking experienced Underground Nippers to join the Bellevue Gold Mine project, a premier underground operation in Western Australia. The role is full-time, on a 14/7 FIFO roster from Perth, supporting ground support activities and safe, productive mining operations.

You will assist the Jumbo Operator, install bolts and mesh, complete pre-start checks, and develop underground mining skills within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in physically demanding roles such as labouring, trades assistance or drilling offsider.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures.
• Relevant operating tickets including Working at Heights and a valid manual driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Jumbo Operator with ground‑support activities, including installing bolts and mesh.
• Lift, load and set up each job site with bolts and mesh.
• Offside the Jumbo Operator for all ground support activities.
• Carry out pre-start checks on equipment and vehicles.
• Learn essential underground mining skills as part of an experienced crew.

Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia's highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than80% of the site's power requirements through renewable energy sources.

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Underground Nippers to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 14/7 FIFO roster from Perth. These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Support the Jumbo Operator with ground support activities, including installing bolts and mesh
• Lift, load and set up each job site with bolts and mesh
• Offside the Jumbo Operator for all ground support activities
• Carry outpre‑startchecks on equipment and vehicles
• Learn essential underground mining skills as part of an experienced and supportive crew
• Experience in physically demanding roles (e.g., trades assistant, labouring, farming, drilling offsider).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures
• Relevant operating tickets and licencesincluding Working at Heights
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)
