Job summary

Iluka Resources is seeking an Operator for the Day Services team at the Jacinth-Ambrosia mine on South Australia''s Far West Coast. The role is full-time and based at the mine site, with an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, fly-in/fly-out from Adelaide or Ceduna.

Qualifications

• Ambitious to work safely and efficiently in a mine environment.
• Strong numerical and literacy skills; capable with basic computer tasks.
• Proactive safety focus; able to work in a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities; able to contribute to risk assessments.
• Current driver’s licence is required.
• Experience with tailings disposal operations is preferred.

• Ensure timely maintenance is reported and undertaken on fixed plant and SME.

About The Role

We are seeking an Operator to join our Day Services team at our Jacinth-Ambrosia mine on South Australia's Far West Coast, approximately 280 kilometres north-west of Ceduna. The position is offered as a full-time permanent position based at the mine site, working an 8 days on, 6 days off off roster arrangement, fly in/fly out from Adelaide or Ceduna. We are looking for a self-motivated person who is focused on undertaking safe and efficient operational practices in order to maximise production and quality of output in accordance with established Iluka standards, including safety and environmental procedures. While on site, you'll have access to great camp accommodation and facilities including a gym, swimming pool, sports courts, recreation areas, Wi‑Fi and Foxtel.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Operating surface mobile equipment safely and efficiently
• Operation of fixed plant mineral separation apparatus
• Ensuring timely and effective maintenance is reported and undertaken on fixed plant and SME
• Conducting individual and group risk and hazard assessments
• Control of hazards in a safe and appropriate method
