Job summary

Bakers Delight is seeking an Operations Training Specialist to lift bakery performance across its network from Melbourne or Brisbane, with regular travel across Australia. You’ll coach franchisees and bakery teams, deliver practical training, and help implement improvement plans to meet brand standards.

The role requires hands-on experience in retail/hospitality or franchising, a baking qualification if possible, and a proactive, relationship-building approach to drive long-term success within

• Bakery qualification is preferred and beneficial.

• Develop and implement improvement plans for bakeries needing extra operational support.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take their experience beyond one bakery to join one of Australia's most loved bakery brands as an Operations Training Specialist.

Reporting to the State Director and based in either Melbourne or Brisbane, you'll use your practical knowledge to coach teams, support franchisees and lift operational performance across our network to make a genuine difference in our bakeries.

You'll work closely with franchisees, bakery teams and support office stakeholders across our network. This is a highly hands-on role, with regular travel across Australia and plenty of time spent in our bakeries, coaching teams and supporting operational excellence. Some of the things that will keep you busy include:

• Supporting new bakery openings and ownership transitions through hands-on operational coaching, training and support.
• Coaching franchisees and bakery teams to improve operational performance, profitability and overall business outcomes.
• Delivering practical training and capability-building initiatives that drive long-term success across the network.
• Assisting bakeries requiring additional operational support, including developing and implementing improvement plans.
• Supporting bakeries to meet operational, compliance, food safety and brand standards while building strong, collaborative relationships across the network.

You'll have experience in an operational, training, coaching or business improvement role within a retail, hospitality, franchising, FMCG or multi-site environment. Better still, you'll bring a baking qualification and first-hand knowledge of bakery operations.

You're a natural relationship builder who enjoys working with people and helping them succeed. You can quickly identify opportunities for improvement, provide practical advice and support teams to achieve positive outcomes.

You'll also bring:

• excellent coaching, training and communication skills;
• strong operational and commercial acumen;
• a proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside bakery teams; and
• flexibility to travel regularly throughout Australia.
