The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking a motivated and capable Operations Team Leader to join our Regional Services leadership team in Townsville. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership, technical guidance and operational oversight while contributing to the delivery of customer-focused and regulatory outcomes across the region.

This is a full-time temporary opportunity based in Townsville for a 12-month period from 3 November 2026 to 2 November 2027, with flexible work arrangements available.

About The Role

As the Operations Team Leader, you will lead and support a team responsible for delivering operational and service outcomes across Regional Services. You will play a critical role in coordinating workflows, monitoring performance, managing risks and ensuring quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Coordinating team workflows, priorities and workloads to achieve agreed service and performance objectives.
• Providing operational leadership, coaching and technical guidance to support team effectiveness and capability development.
• Monitoring operational performance, analysing trends and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and business outcomes.
