Together, our team provides specialised skills across all aspects of surface water, groundwater, coastal, marine and environmental management.

We\'re looking for an experienced Operations Support Team Lead to lead our Operations Support Coordinators and drive operational excellence across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how we work nationally, improve systems and processes and support a team that plays a critical role in project delivery and business performance.

About The Role

Reporting to the National Manager Operations Support, you will lead a team of Operations Support Coordinators while providing expert operational support across project administration, business systems, office operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with leaders, project managers and support functions across the business to ensure efficient, consistent and high-quality operational support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop a geographically dispersed Operations Support team.
  • Manage team workload, resourcing, performance and capability development.
  • Provide expert support and advice on project administration, financial processes and business systems.
  • Partner with Project Managers to support project forecasting, invoicing, budgeting and project performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, consistency and service delivery.
  • Act as a key subject matter expert for operational systems and processes.
  • Support office operations, facilities management and workplace experience initiatives.
  • Coordinate national office services and supplier management programs.
  • Analyse operational data and identify opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation.
About You

You are a proactive and people-focused leader who enjoys improving processes, supporting teams and solving operational challenges. You bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands on delivery, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced professional services environment.

You Will Have
  • Strong operational and project administration skills.
  • Experience working with financial processes such as invoicing, budgeting or project accounting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and experience implementing process improvements.
  • Confidence working with business systems and technology platforms.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence positive outcomes.
  • Previous experience leading or coordinating an administration, operations, or business support team is desirable.
  • Exposure to SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and similar tools is desirable but not essential.
