Job summary

Linfox Australia is seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead a 20–30 driver team across two shifts at Regency Park. You will balance operational planning with safety and compliance, coordinating road and rail movements and ensuring on-time delivery for major customers.

You will drive a strong safety culture, manage fatigue and Chain of Responsibility requirements, and leverage systems like Excel and SAP to monitor performance and optimise resources in a fast-paced logistics network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in transport/logistics operations.

What does the job look like?

Build your leadership career with one of Australia's largest logistics networks. As our mid-shift Supervisor, you will be supporting both road and rail operations, where you'll lead a medium-sized team of drivers and ensure freight moves safely, efficiently and on time. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you'll balance operational planning, champion safety & compliance and drive people leadership to achieve strong service outcomes for our customers.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity located in Regency Park, with a work schedule of Tuesday - Saturday, scheduled times will be:

• Tues - Fri: 8am - 4pm
• Saturday: 6am - 2pm

Key Areas:

• Lead and support a team of 20-30 drivers across two shifts, fostering a strong safety culture and driving operational performance
• Coordinate daily road and rail operations, including local PUD activities, rail schedules and container planning
• Oversee safety & compliance initiatives including driver fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, fleet maintenance schedules inline with Linfox safety standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors and key stakeholders to deliver outstanding service outcomes
• Make real-time operational decisions to optimise fleet utilisation, resource allocation and service delivery across a busy transport network

We're looking for a confident operational leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment and can effectively balance people leadership, customer service and operational performance. You can demonstrate:

• Previous experience within Transport/Logistics operational roles with demonstrated leadership capability
• Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and transport compliance requirements
• Ability to coordinate drivers, subcontractors and operational resources within a fast-paced environment
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance operational and commercial outcomes
• Confidence using operational systems and reporting tools, with experience in Excel, BY, SAP or similar platforms highly regarded
