Operating within a complex, product-based environment, the business is entering an exciting period of operational transformation, with a strong focus on improving service delivery, strengthening internal processes and leveraging technology to support future growth.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity suited to someone who enjoys building teams, challenging existing ways of working and driving meaningful operational improvements. Combining operational management, supply chain coordination, systems optimisation and business transformation, the role offers genuine scope to shape operational performance and influence business outcomes.

The Opportunity

Reporting to a senior operational leader, you will take ownership of a key operational function, overseeing activities from account management and order processing through to fulfilment and delivery.

You will be responsible for developing a high‑performing team, maintaining service standards and strengthening collaboration across internal departments. A major focus will be simplifying manual processes, improving data accuracy and introducing systems, automation and technology to create a more efficient and scalable operation.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading, developing and mentoring a high‑performing operations team
  • Overseeing enquiries, order management, fulfilment and delivery coordination
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives while maintaining service standards and business continuity
  • Improving workflows, reducing manual administration and introducing automation and technology‑driven solutions
  • Overseeing operational data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across internal systems
  • Collaborating with warehouse, logistics and supply chain teams to resolve stock availability and fulfilment challenges
  • Strengthening operational controls, compliance and documentation requirements
  • Establishing team KPIs, performance reporting and service standards to drive accountability
  • Supporting ERP and systems improvements, including integration and optimisation initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve service delivery and achieve measurable efficiencies
About You

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience leading operations, order management, sales administration or similar functions, ideally within a complex, product‑based or distribution environment.

Experience within wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare or other operationally complex industries will be highly regarded.

You will be a practical, commercially minded leader who is equally comfortable managing day‑to‑day operations and driving change. Importantly, you will bring a strong systems mindset and the confidence to challenge established processes while bringing your team and stakeholders along the journey.

Key capabilities and attributes will include:
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing operational teams
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end order management, fulfilment and associated supply chain activities
  • Experience managing operational change, business transformation or process improvement initiatives
  • Proven ability to improve workflows, implement systems and reduce manual administrative activities
  • Strong ERP capability and confidence working across integrated business systems
  • Understanding of data management, operational controls and compliance requirements
  • Experience collaborating with warehouse, logistics, sales and supply chain stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills
  • Confidence leveraging technology, workflow automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • A hands‑on leadership style with strong accountability, adaptability and stakeholder engagement

This position will suit an experienced Operations Manager, Supply Chain Operations Manager or Order Management Manager seeking an opportunity to take greater ownership of operational performance while contributing to meaningful business transformation.

Why Apply?
  • Take ownership of a key operational function within an established organisation
  • Play a central role in modernising systems, processes and service delivery
  • Opportunity to introduce automation and technology‑driven operational improvements
  • Work across a diverse range of stakeholders within a complex supply chain environment
  • Enjoy a varied leadership position with genuine scope to influence business outcomes
  • Develop a high‑performing team while contributing to the organisation's longer‑term growth and transformation
