Job summary

Stevemacs Bulk Fuel Haulage in Western Australia seeks an experienced Operations Manager for the Forrestfield operation. You will lead a team of professional HC/MC drivers and operational staff to ensure safe, efficient and commercially successful performance.

You will review fleet performance, interact with customers and manage financial outcomes, rostering, and priorities while upholding fatigue management and transport regulations. A hands‑on leader with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in transport operations management.
• Proven experience managing drivers and operational teams.
• Experience in metro, regional and/or linehaul transport operations.
• Strong understanding of heavy vehicle compliance and Main Roads WA requirements.
• Experience managing fleet maintenance, utilisation and productivity.
• A practical, hands‑on approach to leadership.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
• The confidence to have difficult conversations and hold people accountable.
• Demonstrated experience managing operational KPIs and performance.
• Sound understanding of budgets, financial reporting and P&L management.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and commercially successful operation, leading a team of professional HC/MC drivers and operational staff ensuring our fleet and people are performing at their best.

You will be equally comfortable in the yard talking with drivers, reviewing fleet performance, meeting customers, managing operational challenges or sitting down with the numbers to understand the branch's financial performance.
