Job summary

SEEK Melbourne is seeking an Operations Manager for electrical services to coordinate project and service work across site and office, ensure site readiness, inductions, and timely access, while driving HR admin, OHSE, and QA processes. You’ll lead a team and shape scalable systems as the business grows.

The role emphasizes fast-paced delivery, practical process improvement, and direct interaction with clients and leadership. Electrical experience is a bonus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to coordinate cross-functional project and service work.
• Ability to manage HR admin, inductions and licences/tickets.
• Experience with OHSE records and QA oversight of SWMS.
• Willingness to lead automation and systems improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling across project and service work with PMs and field team.
• Confirm site access, inductions and time slots before every job starts.
• Own HR administration, training plans and licence/ticket registers with expiry tracking.
• Own OHSE administration and safety records, with QA oversight on SWMS lodgement.
• Support and develop a direct report who owns O&M manuals, SWMS and platform uploads.
• Maintain project file structures and support O&M manual completion.
• Own software subscriptions, system access and hardware, as first point of contact for issues.
• Lead automation and systems improvements, including AI opportunities, from scoping through to build.
• Keep clients updated and respond to queries directly and promptly.
• Oversee office administration, fleet upkeep and materials/stock levels.
• Track and resolve supplier credits and returns.
• Site readiness and inductions running smoothly, office and field in sync.
