Job summary

Heavy Duty Controls & Electrical in Yatala, QLD is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead staff and production behind electrical panels and gas-industry equipment. You will own production planning, 5S standards, quality and on-time delivery while actively guiding the workshop floor, resolving bottlenecks and improving performance.

A Queensland Electrical Contractor Licence and QTP eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing staff and operations in manufacturing.
• Strong production planning and scheduling skills.
• Excellent understanding of quality systems and workshop discipline.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and production for electrical panel manufacturing.
• Plan daily/weekly production; manage labour and bottlenecks.
• Ensure drawings, documentation, materials and labour are ready for production.
• Implement 5S standards; maintain organised workstations and walkways.
• Monitor quality and delivery; manage costs and profitability.
• Uphold safety and electrical compliance in line with QTP responsibilities.
