Job summary

Based in Brisbane, the company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Electrical to lead delivery and build capability across the region.

• Develop project budgets, resource strategies, procurement plans and delivery approaches.
• Build and manage a high-performing network of electrical subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee HV/LV systems, substations, inverter stations, cabling, protection, SCADA and BESS integration.
• Lead operational teams to achieve safety, quality, programme and commissioning targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve construction efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen delivery capability.
• Work closely with senior management to develop and grow the electrical business.

INTEC Energy Solutions is expanding its electrical construction capability across Australia and New Zealand, with a strong pipeline of solar, BESS and HV infrastructure projects.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager - Electrical to play a key role in building and growing this part of the business.

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial electrical construction professional who has possibly built a business previously, established a strong subcontractor and client network, or played a significant role in growing an electrical contracting operation - and is ready to do it again, backed by the scale, capability and pipeline of a global renewable energy organisation.

Based in Brisbane, you will lead the operational delivery of electrical construction projects while helping establish the systems, relationships and capability required to grow our electrical business across Australia.

You will work closely with clients, project teams, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and commissioning teams across projects, with responsibility spanning:

• Lead delivery of electrical construction projects across solar, BESS and HV infrastructure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the Queensland electrical construction market.
• Lead estimating, tender preparation and commercial input to secure new work.
• Develop project budgets, resource strategies, procurement plans and delivery approaches.

About you

You will have strong estimating and commercial capability, extensive electrical construction experience.

Experience in solar, BESS, HV substations or renewable energy infrastructure is highly valued.

Most importantly, you'll have an entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to build something significant, while having the support of a global renewable energy business behind you.

You May Have Previously

• Owned or operated an electrical contracting/subcontracting business.
• Built an electrical division or operation from the ground up.
• Held a senior operations or project leadership role with significant responsibility for growing a business.
• Established strong relationships with electrical subcontractors, suppliers, clients and industry stakeholders across Queensland.
• Progressed from an electrical trade or engineering background into senior commercial and operational leadership.
