Job summary

Aerlink is seeking an experienced Operations Controller based in Brisbane to run day-to-day operations, monitor flights, manage disruption and ensure crews stay within CASA limits. You’ll coordinate charters, maintain rostering and report OTP delays while working with crews, engineering, ground handlers and airports.

The role requires hands-on experience with SkyNet or AIMS, strong judgment under pressure, and full working rights in Australia. Roster includes early starts, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in airline/charter operations control, flight dispatch or crew scheduling.
• Working knowledge of CASA requirements.
• Hands-on experience with operations/crew management systems (SkyNet, AIMS or similar).

Job description

Aerlink operates ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft on FIFO, charter and freight operations across Australia. Our Operations Control Centre in Brisbane keeps that network running, and we’re adding an experienced Operations Controller to the team.

You’ll run the day of operations: following our flights, managing disruption, keeping aircraft and crew legal and on time, and keeping our clients informed.

What you’ll do:

• Monitor and control aircraft movements and on-time performance across contract, charter and freight services
• Lead recovery from disruption, including aircraft swaps, retiming, crew changes and client updates
• Support and maintain flight and cabin crew rosters within CASA flight and duty limits and our Fatigue Risk Management System
• Coordinate charters from request through to operation, working with our Commercial team
• Keep SkyNet NG accurate and produce OTP and delay reporting
• Work closely with crews, engineering, ground handlers, and airports

What you’ll bring:

• At least three years in airline or charter operations control, flight dispatch or crew scheduling
• A working knowledge of CASA requirements
• Hands‑on experience with an operations or crew management system (SkyNet, AIMS or similar)
• Sound judgement under pressure, accurate records and clear communication

Regional turboprop, FIFO charter or FRMS rostering experience will help you stand out.

The roster: This role works a rotating roster across early starts, nights (including overnight freight operations), weekends, public holidays and on-call.

Requirements:

Full working rights in Australia, the ability to obtain and hold an ASIC, and pre‑employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
