Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel Australia is seeking a Sea Logistics Operational Care Supervisor, VAS, to lead operations, drive efficiency and ensure high-quality export service delivery. You’ll manage carrier relationships, support customer care teams, and push continuous improvement across the operation.

You will balance operational efficiency with service quality, monitor KPIs, and contribute to growth in sea logistics. A collaborative culture and focus on development are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in freight forwarding and supply chain management, preferably within Sea Logistics.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with logistics systems, processes, products, and operational workflows.
• Knowledge of market conditions and carrier relationship management.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of financial performance and decision-making.
• Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence: Ensure high-quality shipment management and export service delivery through strong operational control and consistent performance standards.
• Strengthen partnerships: Collaborate closely with Customer Care teams, providing proactive information, solutions, and support that enhance customer satisfaction and service outcomes.
• Deliver solutions: Maintain and strengthen operational carrier relationships while supporting effective shipment execution and operational performance.
• Collaborate internally: Work closely with Customer Care, Systems & Processes, and operational stakeholders to improve productivity and service delivery across the business.
• Achieve business objectives: Monitor operational KPIs, support profitability targets, and ensure timely and accurate cost and revenue management.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and workflows to create leaner, more efficient operations.
• Customer excellence: Support the resolution of claims and disputes while ensuring customers receive reliable and professional service throughout their experience.
