Job summary

COFCO International in Australia is seeking an Operations Assistant to support domestic/export contract execution and logistics activities within a busy trade desk. You will coordinate with ginners, logistics providers, warehouses and service providers to ensure on-time processing of shipments, invoicing, and settlement.

The role requires strong PC skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment. Prior experience in logistics or supply chain is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Australian Container Handling Industry (preferred).
• Logistics, operations and supply chain related tasks.
• Ability to work in an office and team environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate, liaise and coordinate with Ginners, Logistic service providers, Warehouses, Quality Classing Service Providers to execute and process domestic and export contracts on time including but not limited to managing shipments, ticketing, invoicing, cost accrual creation and matching of cotton movements and miscellaneous costs, settle purchases and sales, filing, settlement and all other related activities
• Contract/stock/shipment/logistics management and reporting
• Support trade desk on contract entry, verification, review, update and filing
• Seek and provide solution to improve efficiency of contract execution and supply chain operations
• Provide support and back up when required.
• Any other duties as required.
