Job summary

NSW Health's Canterbury Hospital is seeking a Casual Operations Assistant to support the Perioperative Department, including porterage, theatre linen, cleaning, and intraoperative duties such as transferring patients to the operating table and positioning them for procedures. This role is based at Canterbury Hospital within the Sydney Local Health District.

About the Role

To provide support services to the activities in the Perioperative Department by the performance of any or all of the tasks assigned to this position and contributing to the achievement of safe patient outcomes. Ideal Candidate

• Effective organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in intraoperative theatre duties including transfer of patients onto the operating table and positioning of patients or willingness to learn.
