About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Operations and Safety Manager to join our Adelaide Head Office team. This highly influential role supports operational performance, strategic planning, business improvement, project delivery, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) excellence across Perilya's operations.

Working closely with site leadership teams and corporate stakeholders, you will provide operational oversight, performance analysis, strategic guidance, and HSE support to help drive sustainable business outcomes and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Reporting to the Investment Manager, the Operations and Safety Manager plays a key role in reviewing operational performance, life-of-mine planning, business risks, improvement opportunities, and investment initiatives across Perilya's operations. The position provides both operational and HSE leadership support, ensuring strong alignment between safety, risk management, operational efficiency, and business performance.

Based in our Adelaide CBD Head Office, this role requires travel to Perilya's operating sites as required, to engage with site leadership teams, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to operational and safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide operational leadership, analysis and support to site management teams to improve performance, productivity and operational outcomes.

Review and contribute to Life of Mine plans, operating plans, forecasts and strategic business initiatives. Monitor operational performance, key risks and opportunities, and support the implementation of improvement initiatives.

Provide guidance and assurance on HSE matters, including critical controls, risk management, incident reviews, compliance requirements and continuous improvement programs.

Support the delivery of operational, improvement, capital and HSE-related projects across the business.

Participate in investment evaluations, business case development, due diligence activities and post-investment reviews.

Prepare reports, presentations and recommendations for senior leadership and corporate stakeholders.

Build strong working relationships across site operations, technical services, finance and corporate teams.

About You:

You are an experienced mining professional who combines strong operational knowledge with a genuine commitment to safety, performance and continuous improvement.

You will ideally bring:

Experience in mining operations, technical services, operational improvement, HSE, or a related heavy industry environment.

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Business, Project Management, HSE, Finance or a related discipline are desirable. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

A sound understanding of operational performance drivers, risk management and safety leadership.

Experience working collaboratively with both site-based and corporate teams.

Exposure to project management, business analysis, budgeting, investment evaluation or strategic planning.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels of the organisation.

A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, managing risk and improving operational performance.

Ability to speak mandarin will be highly advantageous.
