Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking an Operational Services Officer - Groundsperson to maintain attractive outdoor spaces that support patient and staff wellbeing. You will care for gardens, landscapes and surrounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment across our health facilities.

You should have grounds maintenance experience, the ability to operate and service grounds equipment, knowledge of WHS and a C Class driver licence. A Certificate III in Horticulture is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or horticultural services.
• Ability to safely operate, maintain and complete minor upkeep of grounds equipment.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety, manual handling practices and safe chemical use.
• A current C Class Driver Licence and a collaborative, reliable approach to work.

Operational Services Officer - Groundsperson

As an Operational Services Officer - Groundsperson, you'll help create an environment that is safe, welcoming and well maintained for patients, residents, visitors and staff. From caring for gardens and outdoor spaces to supporting the smooth operation of health service facilities, your work will contribute to a positive experience for everyone who visits the service.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Maintaining attractive, functional grounds and landscapes that enhance the wellbeing of patients, residents and visitors.
• Delivering high-quality grounds maintenance while balancing priorities and responding to operational needs.
• Safely operating and caring for equipment, tools and resources to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Supporting a clean, safe and efficient health service through waste management, facility upkeep and broader operational services.
