Job summary

ASX in Sydney seeks a Markets Resilience Specialist to strengthen operational resilience across critical market infrastructure. You will work with Markets to implement resilience uplift strategies and engage business, operations and technology stakeholders.

The role includes developing scenario libraries, incident response playbooks, and delivering enterprise resilience framework requirements aligned with CPS 230. Hybrid working options and onboarding background checks are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining operational resilience capabilities for financial services operations.
• Skilled in developing scenario libraries and incident response playbooks.
• Demonstrated experience delivering business resilience initiatives aligned to CPS 230 requirements.
• Experience with supporting BCP testing, identifying uplift requirements and drafting remediation actions.
• Experience with monitoring and reporting on resilience.
• Understanding of risk management, including risk assessments, controls, risk monitoring and reporting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage business, operations and technology stakeholders.

Key Purpose Of The Role

This role supports the resilience uplift of Markets by strengthening the operational resilience capabilities that protect critical markets infrastructure.

Your Team

This role exists in the Markets division to strengthen ASX’s ability to maintain critical business services by implementing and operationalising business, operational and technology resilience uplift strategies and capabilities across Market Operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the Market Operations resilience uplift strategy and execute resilience initiatives.
• Plan and execute the development of scenario libraries and incident response playbooks.
• Lead delivery of resilience framework requirements, ensuring all mandated resilience activities are completed on time.
• Support resilience priorities including fire drills, workshops and assessments.

Your deliverables

• Deliver on Markets resilience strategy.
• Deliver on enterprise resilience framework requirements.
• Work with SMEs to build scenario libraries and develop recovery strategies to respond to severe but plausible scenarios.
• Support the identification and ongoing assessment of critical operations and the operationalisation of activities under the Operational Resilience Framework.

Your Experience And Qualifications

Must have

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining operational resilience capabilities for financial services operations.
• Skilled in developing scenario libraries and incident response playbooks.
• Demonstrated experience delivering business resilience initiatives aligned to CPS 230 requirements.
• Experience with supporting BCP testing, identifying uplift requirements and drafting remediation actions.
• Experience with monitoring and reporting on resilience.
• Understanding of risk management, including risk assessments, controls, risk monitoring and reporting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage business, operations and technology stakeholders.
• Structured and analytical approach to assessing issues and tailoring uplift activities to strengthen resilience posture.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial markets including operations and technology. Understanding of regulatory standards for example, APRA CPS 230 and ASIC Market Integrity Rules.
• Knowledge of incident response frameworks.
• Knowledge of ASX products, technology and stakeholders.
