Job summary

Hutchison Ports Australia is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Sydney terminal, supporting one of Australia’s key port and supply chain operations. This hands‑on role partners with leaders, employees and employee representatives to enable safe, commercially sustainable operations in a complex, unionised environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in HR, ER or IR advisory or HRBP roles.
• Experience in operational, industrial, blue‑collar or unionised environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and enterprise agreements.
• Proven ability to coach managers through complex people matters.
• Ability to engage with employee representatives or unions.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR, ER and IR advice to terminal leaders and managers.
• Support workforce performance, capability and disciplined people management.
• Interpret enterprise agreements and apply policies and procedures.
• Coach leaders through performance, conduct, grievances and disciplinary matters.
