Job description

Build More Than the Numbers

Premier Windows & Doors is Western Australia's leading provider of premium uPVC double-glazed windows and doors. From its Balcatta manufacturing base, the business combines German-engineered systems with local production and expert installation to create quieter, cooler and more energy-efficient homes across Perth and regional WA.

As Premier continues to grow, we are seeking an accomplished Operational Finance Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who wants to influence outcomes, strengthen the way the business operates and make a genuine impact beyond the numbers.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • A senior leadership role with genuine influence across the organisation.
  • A balanced remit: approximately 50% financial control and 50% commercial and operational leadership.
  • Direct involvement in improving processes, controls, reporting and business performance.
  • The opportunity to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and provide useful information to the Board.
  • A supportive, collaborative workplace with structured training, professional development and career progression.
  • A growing WA business where initiative, practical thinking and measurable improvement are valued.
The Role

This position sits at the intersection of finance, operations and commercial decision-making. You will provide the financial discipline the business needs while working across teams to improve controls, support projects and turn information into practical action.

  • Deliver timely management reporting, monthly accounts, journals and reconciliations.
  • Develop and embed clear financial controls and documented procedures across the business.
  • Review contract progression, project billing and key reconciliations.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting, credit control, supplier balances and payment runs.
  • Oversee payroll and staff records through Employment Hero.
  • Coordinate payroll tax, GST, activity statements, FBT and associated compliance requirements.
  • Oversee subcontractor agreements, rate cards and ongoing compliance.
  • Work with external accountants on year-end and other financial matters.
  • Contribute to and, where appropriate, lead business projects that deliver clear commercial benefits.
What You Will Bring

You are a capable finance leader who is comfortable moving between detailed financial work and broader operational priorities. You understand that strong finance functions do more than report on performance: they help improve it.

  • Demonstrated financial management experience in a fast-paced production, manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to contribute at leadership level.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a clear commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach to change, process improvement and problem-solving.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across the business.
  • CPA or CA qualification is preferred, with approximately five years in a comparable role viewed favourably.
The Premier Difference

Premier designs and manufactures products for Western Australian conditions, with a focus on energy efficiency, noise reduction, security, durability and low maintenance. The company's locally made uPVC range supports more comfortable and sustainable homes while maintaining a strong commitment to craftsmanship, service and customer outcomes.
