Job summary

Hunter Manning is assisting a well-established, privately owned manufacturing and services business in WA to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner. This standalone, business-facing role partners closely with the General Manager, Operations, Sales and Contractors, and is not limited to month-end reporting.

You'll own end-to-end management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and drive process improvements, while challenging operational decisions with credibility at senior levels.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Background in manufacturing/industrial/project-based environments is valued.
• Experience building relationships with non-finance stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead full end-to-end management accounting for WA site.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting and process improvements.
• Challenge and support operational decision-making with senior stakeholders.

A well-established, privately owned manufacturing and services business is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to be the finance "go-to" for their highly successful, growing WA operation.

This is a genuinely standalone, business-facing role. You'll work hands-on with Operations, Sales and Contractors day to day — not just producing month-end reporting. The business wants a finance partner who understands the commercial and operational side of the business, not someone content to sit behind a desk removed from it.

The role:

• Act as the primary finance contact for the WA site, partnering closely with the General Manager, Operations, Sales and Contractors
• Full end-to-end management accounting, including project and labour recovery accounting
• Balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting and process improvement
• Confidently challenge and support operational decision-making — commercial backbone and credibility with senior stakeholders is essential
• Genuine day-to-day autonomy in the role

About you:

• CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, contracting or project-based environments highly regarded
• Confident operating standalone and building strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Pronto, D365 or similar) an advantage
• Comfortable pushing back when required, and equally comfortable building trust with senior operational leaders
