Job summary

Autocare Australia is seeking a hands-on senior leader to work with the Operations Manager, strengthening operations and client relationships while supporting technicians and driving growth. You will be commercially minded, solve problems, and take ownership of key outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership in roadside assistance, towing, and EV services, with a focus on profitability and strategic client development within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience in General Management or Operations Management
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and grow the business

• Willingness to work closely with an Operations Manager and be hands-on

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and service providers
• Develop new client relationships and identify opportunities to grow the business
• Act as a senior point of contact for key clients and manage escalated issues
• Build strong relationships with technicians and support a positive team culture
• Work with the Operations Manager on technician performance, staffing and operational matters
• Monitor service levels, job acceptance, response times, productivity and customer satisfaction
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and profitability
• Support the growth of roadside assistance, towing, battery and EV services
• Represent Autocare Australia professionally at client meetings and business development opportunities

About you

• Previous experience in General Management, Operations Management or a senior leadership role
• Experience in roadside assistance, towing, automotive, transport, logistics or a similar industry is highly regarded
• Strong client relationship and business development skills
• Excellent people management and communication skills
• A commercial mindset with an understanding of revenue, costs and profitability
• The ability to work effectively alongside an Operations Manager
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• A hands‑on approach and willingness to get involved when required
• High levels of organisation, accountability and professionalism
