Job summary

Government client (agency undisclosed) in Sydney seeks a temporary Open Space & Recreational Planner for a 6-month contract. You will perform front-end and back-end planning for open space and recreation, reporting to the Team Leader and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage community land lawfully and sustainably.

The role requires 3+ years in urban planning, strong knowledge of local government and Crown Lands acts, and solid communication and research abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Urban Planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of planning legislation and compliance.
• Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review and implementation of Plans of Management.
• Conduct research to strategically plan open space & recreation projects.
• Consult and engage with community activities and stakeholders.
• Report progress and projections to the Infrastructure & Planning Manager.
• Prepare site-specific plans and grant applications as required.
