Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited in Perth, WA, is seeking a Senior Specialist Planning & Performance to drive budgets, forecasts and performance reporting for Open Pit Mining costs. You will partner with alliance teams, coordinate ARR reviews, and raise commercial process standards within the alliance while supporting the Full Potential program.

The role requires 2-5 years in mining, planning or commercial functions, strong Office & Project skills, and open pit mining knowledge.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a mining industry related discipline (Finance or Engineering) or equivalent operational experience.
• 2-5 years mining industry experience preferably within commercial or engineering function.
• Proficient level of computer knowledge in Microsoft Suite inclusive of Office & Project.
• Strong capability in Mining cost modelling.
• A broad range of mining competencies encompassing mine design, scheduling, mining systems, business planning, financial analysis, and Open Pit Mining understanding.
• Full work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
• A National Police Clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop budget, forecasts, and performance reports. Keep management informed of budget variances to plans, identified risks and risk management plans.
• Build and continuously improve the Alliance Contract Management and Review system for the Mining Alliance.
• Drive and set the standard for permissible commercial processes within the alliance, providing framework, tools, and SME to support the Full Potential Program.
• Key member of the Alliance Management Team (AMT) and coordinate the Annual Rate Review (ARR) process with alliance partners.
• Contribute to organizational capability within the commercial and mining improvement functions through stakeholder engagement and advisory support.
