Job summary

Regis Resources is seeking a Mining Engineer (Open Pit) to join the Duketon operation on a FIFO 8:6 roster. You will provide mine planning, technical support and operational guidance for safe and efficient open pit production, collaborating with contractors and internal teams to optimise schedules and align with forecasts.

The role requires a tertiary mining engineering qualification and practical experience in open pit, hard rock gold operations, with a focus on safety, accuracy and continuous

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of open pit mining methods, drill & blast, and mine design principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update rolling 3-month mine schedules and ensure timely delivery to the mining contractor.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to minimise ore dilution in mining execution.
• Monitor contractor performance and report deviations to senior stakeholders.
• Review and optimise drill & blast designs and performance.
• Track explosives usage, powder factors and consumables against budget.
• Refine pit, dump and haul road designs with geotechnical considerations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Support alignment between mining activities and production forecasts and budgets.
• Contribute to end-of-month reporting and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with geology, processing, maintenance and contractor teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
