Job summary

Myndshift Group is engaged by a leading ASX-listed mining contractor to appoint an experienced Maintenance Planner for an open pit coal operation on a contract-to-permanent basis in Queensland.

You will plan maintenance across approximately 100 assets, including ultra-class haul trucks, excavators and dozers, while collaborating with planners, schedulers and field crews to ensure production continuity in a fast-paced contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Planner in open cut mining.
• Minimized backlog planning and execution.
• Ability to translate inspection findings into work orders.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning methodologies.
• Proficient with SAP CMMS and asset management processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain maintenance schedules for open cut mobile equipment with production teams.
• Turn asset management plans, inspections, defect reports into executable work orders.
• Manage maintenance backlogs, spot scheduling constraints early and address risks.
• Own the work order lifecycle in SAP, from PO creation to close-out.
• Track maintenance compliance and performance with stakeholders.
• Provide weekly maintenance schedules and supporting documentation to operations.
