Active OOSH is seeking a dedicated Manager to lead our Stockton OOSH service, ensuring safe, inclusive and high‑quality care for children. You will collaborate with the current Service Manager and Aspiring Leader to oversee daily operations and drive safe, compliant outcomes.

Flexible shifts exist across before and after school care with potential hours during Vacation Care; you will model best practice, maintain educator-to-child ratios and build strong partnerships with families and the school.

Qualifications

• Must have management or leadership experience.
• Experience in OOSH or early childhood education and care preferred.
• Knowledgeable about NQF and relevant legislation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Manager to join our Stockton service.

Working alongside the current Service Manager and Aspiring Leader, you will help lead the team, oversee daily operations and achieve safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes for children.

Hours

Flexible shifts are available Monday to Friday:

• Before School Care: between 6:30 am and 9:30 am
• After School Care: between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm
• Additional hours during Vacation Care

Your Role

• Make child safety and wellbeing your first priority.
• Maintain active supervision and correct educator-to-child ratios.
• Lead and support educators to provide safe, high‑quality care.
• Oversee daily operations, routines and environments.
• Ensure compliance with the NQF and Child Safe Standards.
• Communicate professionally with families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the school.
• Support continuous improvement across the service.

About You

• A confident and organised leader committed to child safety and best practice.
• Experienced in OOSH or early childhood education and care.
• Knowledgeable about the NQF and relevant legislation.
• Genuinely interested in working with children.
• Able to create fun, inclusive and meaningful experiences.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work collaboratively.

Essential Requirements

• Current paid Working with Children Check.
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
• CHCPRT025 Child Protection training.
• Child Safety training.
• Management or leadership experience.
• Childcare or education qualification, or currently working towards one.
• Police Check completed within the past six months.
• Experience working with children with complex needs.
