Job summary

New Lambton District OOSH in Newcastle, NSW, seeks an enthusiastic OOSH Coordinator to lead its community-based service. You will be the centre Nominated Supervisor, shaping values, culture and day-to-day operations while delivering high-quality care for children aged 5–12 years.

Reporting to the Parent Management Committee, you’ll ensure regulatory compliance under the NQF, build strong relationships with families and educators, and foster a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Hold an Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent.
• Have proven experience working in OSHC/OOSH.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
• Be reliable, organised, enthusiastic and approachable.
• Have completed Child Protection Training.
• Hold current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain.
• Have completed GECCKO national child safety training.
• Hold First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates.

Located on the grounds of New Lambton South Public School, our dedicated service provides safe, professional and engaging care for children aged 5–12 years, servicing two local schools.

About the Role

As OOSH Coordinator, you will be the centre Nominated Supervisor and lead the values, culture and day-to-day operation of our service.

You will help create a positive, inclusive and enriching environment for children, educators and families while supporting the team to deliver high-quality care and experiences.

Reporting directly to the parent-led Management Committee, the Co-ordinator ensures the service meets all regulatory requirements under the National Quality Framework (NQF)

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, leads with compassion and positivity, and can build strong and respectful relationships with children, families and educators.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

Share the values of the centre and thrive in leading a team that delivers a family-focused service

Hold anEarly Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent.

Have proven experience working in OSHC/OOSH.

Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.

Be reliable, organised, enthusiastic and approachable.
