Job summary

NSW Government’s Sydney office seeks an Operations Officer at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre to ensure safe, efficient operations and high standards across venues, facilities, maintenance and event delivery.

This hands-on role combines on-site duties with planning and administrative tasks, supervising a small team of Service Officers while coordinating with contractors, venue users and internal stakeholders to keep the site at its best.

Qualifications

• Practical operations experience across venues, facilities or events.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Walk through the venue to check facilities and field conditions and set daily priorities.
• Coordinate contractors and resolve maintenance issues.
• Prepare venues for upcoming events and manage stakeholder requests.
• Ensure operational standards are met and promote a safe, professional environment.
• Support delivery of sporting and commercial events and supervise a small team.
