Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Training and Development Coordinator for the Gruyere Gold Mine project in Western Australia. The role focuses on coordinating training, compliance, and onboarding for a FIFO workforce, with oversight of internal and external programs and robust data management in the LAAMP LMS.

You will collaborate with operations, safety and HR, manage calendars, liaise with providers, and contribute to continuous improvement of training processes within a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Mine site experience is essential.
• Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent desirable.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment highly regarded.
• Experience coordinating training calendars and events in mining or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage annual training calendar and programs.
• Coordinate all aspects of training delivery including scheduling and attendance.
• Manage logistics for training sessions and venues with support from Training Administrator.
• Support onboarding and new project start-ups with training requirements.
• Liaise with external providers for bookings, PO and invoices.
• Monitor compliance and maintain LAAMP training records.
• Generate reports to track completion, compliance and expiry trends.
• Prepare documentation for audits and stakeholder reviews.
