Job summary

IXOM’s Life Sciences Operations team is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager based at our Hallam manufacturing site. You’ll be the functional safety lead for Life Sciences, partnering with operations to strengthen safety performance and build a proactive safety culture.

You will coach leaders, influence behaviours and translate IXOM standards into practical controls across incident management, procedures, and critical controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety management systems, incident investigation and corrective-action handling.
• Ability to translate standards into practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with frontline staff and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and operational compliance improvement across Hallam and Life Sciences network.
• Coach leaders and teams in incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Review and improve safety systems, procedures and critical controls.
• Drive improvements in manual handling, injury management, DG, contractor controls and operational risk.
• Coordinate audit and assurance activities and close actions.
• Provide safety input into site and operational change projects.
• Build capability across leaders and frontline teams.
