Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, land management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Some practical experience or exposure to environmental projects, ideally involving rehabilitation, biodiversity, environmental monitoring or land management.
• A genuine interest in working in a predominantly field‑based role within an operational environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate contractors and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate environmental data and record keeping.
• Willingness to undertake regular fieldwork across the operation.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of rehabilitation, biodiversity and broader environmental projects and programs.
• Coordinate and oversee environmental contractors, helping ensure activities are completed safely, effectively and in line with site requirements.
• Undertake field‑based environmental monitoring, inspections, sampling and data collection across operational and rehabilitation areas as required.
• Assist with rehabilitation planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain equipment and support accurate environmental data, records and reporting.
• Identify environmental risks and opportunities for improvement while promoting safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
• Work collaboratively with the Environment team, contractors and operational stakeholders across site.
