Job summary

Knauf Australia is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in customer plans and value-added offerings within the Australian market.

You will build and maintain relationships with existing clients while pursuing new opportunities, and contribute to regional sales strategy via market insight and account management. This full-time, on-site role requires travel and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

Prior experience in manufacturing/building materials industry preferred but not essential.
Formal sales training highly regarded.
Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Excel and CRM systems.
Ability to work from Fyshwick office full time – not a Work from Home role.
Ability and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Develop customer and segment plans and identify opportunities for value-added products and services.
Manage and maintain existing customers; aim to increase sales to current base.
Convert market leads into profitable sales for Knauf.
Monitor pricing and selling expenses to achieve profitability targets.
Pursue personal development training, technical training and project experience.
Maintain knowledge of competitor activity and report market trends to the manager.
Resolve complaints promptly and implement changes to prevent recurrence.
