Job summary

Cancer Care Noosa, part of Cancer Care Associates, is seeking a passionate Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our oncology and haematology team. You will provide evidence-based nursing care to patients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include current AHPRA registration and recent oncology/haematology experience. The role offers flexible days ( Tue/Wed preferred) and potential extra hours during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Recent medical haematology and/or oncology experience.
• Experience administering cytotoxic chemotherapy and related cancer treatments including ADAC competency.
• Competency in PORT, IV cannulation and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Practice in accordance with QLD Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
• Provide holistic nursing care and high-level patient assessments.
• Collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to quality improvements and governance.
• Administer medications in line with policies and procedures.

At our renowned Cancer Care Noosa (WHO) site, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our experienced oncology nursing team.

Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients receiving specialist haematology and oncology treatment. We are looking for a Registered Nurse with recent experience in medical haematology and/or medical oncology preferred who is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.

This is a 0.4 FTE permanent part-time opportunity (days flexible - preferred Tuesday & Wednesday), ideal for an experienced nurse seeking a part-time position within specialist cancer care. There is the opportunity for additional hours to cover leave and peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Practice in accordance with QLD Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
• Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.
• Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.
• Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Recent medical haematology and/or oncology experience.
• Radiation Therapy experience.
