Job summary

Ultracast Pty Ltd in Kurri Kurri is seeking an experienced Rigger/Dogman to safely lift, rig and place precast concrete panels on a live construction site. You will work with formworkers, concreting crews, site supervisors and drivers, applying a strong safety mindset and clear communication at all times.

You will perform pre-lift risk assessments, inspect rigging gear, maintain a tidy work area and follow WHS procedures to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a rigging or dogging role, preferably in the construction or precast concrete industry.
Rigging licence (basic or intermediate, RB/RI) – essential
White Card (General Construction Induction) – required
Familiarity with the use of power tools and machinery used in the precast concrete industry
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Australian work rights are required for this position
Valid car driver licence and own reliable transport

Responsibilities

Overhead crane operation
Rig precast concrete panels, beams and other components for safe lifting and placement
Conduct pre-lift risk assessments and inspect all rigging equipment before use
Work closely with other precast workers to ensure panels are placed accurately and safely and labelled accordingly
Maintain a clean, organised and hazard‑free work area
Follow all site WHS procedures and safety standards
Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding crane operation and site conditions
